1. Who Carrie Travel is
This Privacy Policy describes how Carrie Travel LLC (“Carrie Travel,” “Carrie Travel,” “Carrie Travel,” or “the company’s”) collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects personal information when you visit or interact with carrietravel.com, contact Carrie Travel, submit a trip-planning enquiry, or otherwise interact with the company’s online services.

2. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information collected through the Carrie Travel website, online forms, email communications, and other digital interactions that link to this Policy. It does not necessarily apply to personal information processed solely under a separate agreement with a client, supplier, travel partner or employee where that agreement or another notice governs the processing.
3. What information Carrie Travel collects
Depending on how you interact with Carrie Travel, Carrie Travel may collect the following categories of information:
- Identity and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, mailing address and similar identifiers.
- Trip and preference information: destinations, travel dates, party composition, preferred travel style, accommodation preferences, dining preferences, budget range, special requests and other information you choose to provide when planning a trip.
- Communications: information contained in emails, enquiries, messages, feedback, forms, correspondence and customer-service interactions.
- Transaction and booking information: where applicable, information necessary to arrange or administer travel services, such as reservation details, supplier confirmations, payment status and billing information. Payment card information should generally be processed directly by the applicable payment provider rather than stored by Carrie Travel.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referring/exit pages, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps and information about how you interact with the website.
- Cookie and similar technology information: identifiers and preferences stored through cookies, local storage, pixels, tags or similar technologies, subject to your choices and applicable law.
- Information you voluntarily provide about other travelers: if you submit information about a companion or another traveler, you represent that you are authorized to provide that information and to permit Carrie Travel to use it for the stated purpose.
4. Sensitive personal information
Travel planning can sometimes involve information that may be sensitive under applicable law, such as accessibility needs, dietary restrictions, health-related travel requirements, passport or identity information, precise location information, or information about children. Carrie Travel asks that you provide only information that is reasonably necessary for the requested service.
Carrie Travel does not intentionally request sensitive information through general website forms unless it is relevant to a requested service. If sensitive information is necessary to arrange travel, Carrie Travel may request additional consent or use appropriate safeguards where required by law.
5. Sources of information
Carrie Travel may obtain personal information:
- directly from you when you submit a form, contact Carrie Travel, request a proposal or communicate with Carrie Travel;
- from another traveler or authorized representative who provides information on your behalf;
- from travel suppliers or service providers when necessary to administer a requested itinerary;
- automatically from your browser or device when you use the website; and
- from service providers that help Carrie Travel operate the Carrie Travel website, communications, analytics, CRM or travel-management functions.
6. How Carrie Travel uses personal information
Carrie Travel may use personal information for purposes including:

- designing, proposing, arranging and administering travel services;
- communicating about itineraries, reservations, changes, deadlines and service matters;

7. Legal bases for processing

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent as described in this Policy. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal or processing that may continue under another lawful basis.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential technologies. These are used for core functionality, security and remembering your privacy choices. They cannot be disabled through the optional-cookie controls where they are technically necessary.
Analytics technologies. If enabled, these may help Carrie Travel understand aggregate traffic, pages viewed, interactions and general website performance. They should only be activated in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
Advertising / targeted technologies. The current website prototype does not activate advertising trackers. If Carrie Travel later uses technologies for targeted advertising, sale/sharing of personal information, or similar activities, Carrie Travel will provide appropriate notices and controls where required.
You can also control cookies through your browser. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect website functionality.
9. Your privacy choices and opt-out
You may opt out of certain optional processing. The website provides a “Privacy choices” control that allows you to reject optional analytics and advertising technologies. You can reopen those controls from the footer at any time.
Where applicable law gives you additional opt-out rights, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, certain profiling, or the processing of sensitive personal information, you may exercise those rights by contacting Carrie Travel at hello@carrietravel.com or by mail at the address listed in Section 1. Florida law, for example, provides qualifying consumers with rights that include opting out of processing for targeted advertising, sale of personal data, certain profiling, and certain sensitive-data processing.
If Carrie Travel implements a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism or a legally recognized universal opt-out signal, Carrie Travel will configure it as required by applicable law. At present, this prototype does not sell personal information and does not activate targeted advertising technologies.
10. Consumer privacy rights
Depending on your state, country and circumstances, you may have rights to:
- confirm whether Carrie Travel process your personal information;
- access or obtain a copy of certain personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions;
- receive portable copies of certain information;
- opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or certain profiling where applicable;
- opt out of certain sensitive-data processing where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
- appeal a decision on a privacy request where applicable; and
- exercise other rights provided by applicable privacy law.
Florida's current privacy statute lists access, correction, deletion, portability and specified opt-out rights among qualifying consumer rights.

Please state the nature of your request and provide enough information for Carrie Travel to reasonably verify your identity. Carrie Travel may ask for information necessary to authenticate the request, but Carrie Travel will not require you to create a new account solely to submit a privacy request where applicable law prohibits that requirement. Florida law requires qualifying controllers to provide multiple secure and accessible methods for consumer requests.
12. Authorized agents
Where permitted by applicable law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Carrie Travel may require evidence of the agent's authorization and may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing a request.
13. Verification and request handling
Privacy requests may be subject to reasonable verification procedures designed to protect against unauthorized disclosure. Carrie Travel will use the information supplied for verification only as reasonably necessary to authenticate and process the request, subject to applicable law.
Carrie Travel will respond within the period required by applicable law. If additional time is permitted and reasonably necessary, Carrie Travel may provide a notice explaining the extension. Where a request is denied, Carrie Travel will explain the applicable reason and, where required, tell you how to appeal.
14. Appeals
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a privacy-request decision, you may appeal by emailing hello@carrietravel.com with the subject line Privacy Appeal. Please identify the original request and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Florida's privacy law expressly provides an appeal mechanism for qualifying consumer requests.
15. Information Carrie Travel may disclose
Carrie Travel may disclose personal information to categories of recipients that help Carrie Travel operate the business or provide requested travel services, including:
- hotels, airlines, transportation providers, tour operators and other travel suppliers;
- payment processors and financial service providers;
- CRM, email, scheduling, website hosting and technology providers;
- analytics or measurement providers, where enabled and permitted;
- professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants and insurers;
- government agencies, courts or law enforcement where legally required; and
- successors or transaction counterparties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring or sale of business assets.
Carrie Travel does not sell personal information as part of this website prototype. If that changes, this Policy and the available opt-out controls should be updated before such processing begins.
16. Service providers and processors
Service providers may process information on the company’s behalf and under contractual or other appropriate controls. They may be authorized to use personal information only for the services they provide, subject to applicable law and their contractual obligations.
17. Data retention
Carrie Travel retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud and satisfying legal, accounting or regulatory requirements.
Actual retention periods depend on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, whether a client relationship exists, legal requirements and operational needs. A production privacy program should establish documented retention schedules by data category.
18. Security
Carrie Travel uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Florida law, for qualifying controllers, requires reasonable administrative, technical and physical security practices appropriate to the volume and nature of personal data.
19. Data minimization
Carrie Travel seeks to collect information that is adequate, relevant and reasonably necessary for the disclosed purposes. Carrie Travel does not ask visitors to provide more information than is reasonably necessary for a requested interaction or service. This approach is also reflected in Florida's controller duties concerning data minimization.
20. Children's privacy
The website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Carrie Travel does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through general website forms. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Carrie Travel, contact Carrie Travel so that Carrie Travel can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.
21. International visitors and transfers
Because travel services may involve suppliers and technology providers in multiple countries, personal information may be processed in jurisdictions other than the one in which you live. Where required, Carrie Travel will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
22. Third-party websites and services
The Carrie Travel website may link to or integrate with third-party websites, booking platforms, social networks, payment services or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Carrie Travel is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that Carrie Travel does not control.
23. Marketing communications
If you receive promotional emails from Carrie Travel, you may unsubscribe using the mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting hello@carrietravel.com. Transactional or service-related communications may continue where necessary to provide requested services or comply with legal obligations.
24. Do Not Track and browser signals
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” or similar signals. Because standards and legal requirements vary, the company’s handling of such signals depends on the technologies deployed and applicable law. Where a legally recognized universal opt-out signal applies to Carrie Travel, Carrie Travel will handle it as required by law.
25. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Carrie Travel may update this Policy when the company’s practices, technologies, legal obligations or services change. Carrie Travel will post the revised Policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, Carrie Travel will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
Florida's current privacy statute requires qualifying controllers to maintain a reasonably accessible and clear privacy notice and to update it at least annually.
